power rangers jungle fury yellow cheetah ranger

we'll kick off the first review w/ the new yellow jungle fury cheetah ranger. bandai has released the newest installment of the power rangers franchise: power rangers jungle fury. I remember the days when I enjoyed MMPR... ah the original (& still the best IMHO), while I have seen the toys of the different incarnations over the years in stores I haven't paid too much attention until now. The new packaging is nice, but simple. All of the figures share the same backer card, but the blister has some nice detail and the figures look good in the packages.r The new sculpts on these figures is a vast improvement from the previous offerings, especially on the lone female ranger. She actually looks feminine for one, and the skirt is not sculpted to the figures leg and split with a u joint. Though because the skirt is a separate molded plastic piece (only a little pliable) her leg movement is restricted but you can still get her in some nice standing poses. The only thing I really wish she had is wrist swivels but I'll give bandai the benefit of the doubt because of this new sculpt. Paint is nice and clean, it's not an extensive color palette, but looks good. Her joints all seem to hold as well. I am looking forward to picking up the other figures from this new line and bandai has also released images of the new original green ranger and lord zedd figures that are brand new scuplts and look spectacular so be sure to keep an eye out!

The yellow cheetah ranger gets a 8/10. She's a great figure overall and if your like me and enjoyed the original rangers, this is a nice update to bring the rangers into the modern toy era from which they have been light years behind. part of her score also comes from bandai really breathing some new life into this brand with these new sculpts and the news of the new versions of original rangers. rumor has it the other 5 rangers (red, pink, blue, yellow and black) are coming along with the first rita repulsa figure (finally!)

welcome to the toykivez

this blog will be used for reviews of toys i buy to add to my collection... which get added rather slowly to my site the toykivez.com so that is why i have this to review my favorites that i pick up. i have enjoyed reading others reviews of figures and thought i'd take a stab at it, hey why not! You can look forward to a wide range of toys from actions figures to dolls to anything cool i pick up and would like to say something about.

the toys will get a score out of 10, but it is really based on how much i like and enjoy the toy while i take into account factors like articulation, accessories, packaging, paint job and the like.

the photos won't be anything too fancy... just shot on my iphone so this can be quick and dirty!

hopefully you'll find my reviews helpful and entertaining!

enjoy!
